ETERNITY

take me back where the magic is
let me hold you in my arms
under the stars
you spark a fire in my eyes
that lightens up the darkest skies
you're my queen, and I'm your king
can't you hear our wedding bells ring?
you know I will always treasure
every kiss and every touch
baby, you always say the words i love to here
don't tell me you love me if you are not sincere
no one has every showed me they cared in so many ways
nor has anyone been able to make my heart bet in away
you are everything to me
and you will always be
for eternity

What I'm Thinking When I Can't Tell You

Would you kiss me if I promised
not to let it mean anything;
if nothing had to come of it?

I laid there next to your sleeping face
wishing I could touch your lips with mine;
that I could feel them just once.

I felt your leg half sprawled out over mine
and feared the slightest movement would wake you,
ending your dream and mine at the same time.

So there I remained still as a breathless night
torn between friendship and something more,
wondering if the same thought ever crossed your mind.

Keeping that flicker of hope alive is killing me
when I know that tonight you may be mine,
but tomorrow you'll be another's.

I want to be your angelita
and find my heaven in your arms,
but could it ever be that way?

It's sweet misery for me to see you
and be so close to you- your best friend,
knowing all the while that I can never have you.

The hours passed by faster then
as another chance was lost,
and another day of longing for you drew nearer.

12. is funny, but knows when to be serious

13. realizes he's being funny when he needs to be

14. is patient when you take forever to getready

15. reacts so cutely when you hit him and it actually

Two Hearts of One

A dream that had died a long time ago,
decides to come back and knock on the door.
Will they reach for that star in the sky?
Or once again let love pass them both by?

So many things happen only by chance.
These two brought together by circumstance.
They both wanted someone to hold on too.
And now their wish has finally came true.

What they have could be so sincere.
He talks to her without any fear.
Because he knows what he feels inside.
He sees no reason to run and hide.

She looks into his eyes knowing its real.
Nothing can take away what she feels.
She doesn't want any of this to end.

Love Never Dies

There is this love inside,
one another,
As you say love never dies,
but sooner or later you will.
Love is a good thing,
but when serious,
you gotta let it go.
Hard times and good times,
you will always know and remember.

But always remember you wll always have someone.

Nightlight

You put your head down
As you lay alone in your bed
Sleeping soundly
I wish to be a nightlight to watch over you
Staring at you quietly from the corner
My little glow illuminating as much as it can, trying to reach you
But I admire the darkness
And desire to be it, more than the light
To be one with the darkness
The darkness would be fused with my body
And to be it, is allowing my body to descend upon yours
Than to embrace you gently
And sleep along with you through the night
Until sunrise comes, I fade away into shadows
Only catching a final glimpse of you before I vanish
But to watch you smile when I disappear
Is to know, I done my job
The tragedy of being the darkness, is to extinguish with the break of daylight
Till another nightfall, where I am able to come out once again
But envying the darkness, I still wish to remain the nightlight
That way, I will never lose a sight of you

I wrote this poem for my boyfriend, Gus. He's not only
the love of my life, but he is also the best friend I could
have ever asked for. We've had lots of problems with
people interfering in our relationship, and I wrote this
to reassure him that I will do whatever it takes for us
to be together.

letting anyone, not family or friends

This all started with a simple dance
You brought me flowers
I remember the first time I felt your lips on mine
I felt a shiver from my mouth to my toes

I dreamed about you that night
I imagined what it would be like
To be able to kiss you and touch you

We started slow

I think we were both shy, nervous

I AM THANKFUL FOR ......

THE PARTNER WHO HOGS THE COVERS EVERY NIGHT, BECAUSE HE IS NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

THE CHILD WHO IS NOT CLEANING HIS ROOM, BUT IS WATCHING TV, BECAUSE THAT MEANS HE IS AT HOME AND NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES THAT I PAY, BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I AM EMPLOYED

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG, BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK, BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM IN THE SUNSHINE

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINTS I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT, BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT, BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND THAT I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION.

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL, BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH THAT SINGS OFF KEY, BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING, BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY, BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OF IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS, BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

It's only been a few days,

No-one knows that feeling,
The feeling I have inside,

Jessica is she?
I can't believe you don't understand,
I want you back!

Why was it you broke-up with me?
Does this Jessica have more than me?
Her talent?
Her body figure?

I hope you treat her well,
Don't ignore her as you did me,
Now, to let you know,
I envy my hands.....
For they are the only part of my body that knows how it feels to be loved by you.
